Polaris Car Care LLC, doing business as Polaris Car Care ("Polaris", "we", "us") operates www.polariscarcare.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. The Site is hosted on Shopify.

Information we collect

  • Contact and order details: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you ordered, when you buy or contact us.
  • Payment details: processed by Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your login email and order history.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser, device identifiers, pages viewed and actions on the Site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email, text message or through our contact and application forms.

How we use it

  • To process orders, payments, shipping, returns and refunds, and to send order and account emails.
  • To answer questions and provide support.
  • To send marketing email only if you signed up for it; every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how the Site is used and to measure and improve our advertising.
  • To prevent fraud and comply with the law.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Shopify's own analytics plus Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity (session recordings and heatmaps), the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram), the TikTok pixel and the Snapchat pixel. These set cookies or similar identifiers that help us measure the Site and show relevant ads on other platforms. Under some US state privacy laws, sharing data with advertising partners in this way may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising". You can opt out at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page (www.polariscarcare.com/pages/data-sharing-opt-out). We also honour the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out for that browser.

How we share information

  • Shopify, which hosts the Site and processes payments; Shopify's privacy policy also applies.
  • Shipping carriers (for example USPS and UPS), to deliver your order.
  • The analytics and advertising providers listed above (Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok and Snap).
  • Shopify Email, which we use to send marketing email to subscribers.
  • Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to receive a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Email support@polariscarcare.com to make a request; we may need to verify your identity. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. You can also use the Shopify Privacy Portal (privacy.shopify.com) for data Shopify holds.

Retention

We keep order records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We use Shopify's secure, encrypted checkout and limit who can access order data. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send card numbers or other sensitive information by email.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
